The Michael Johnson Foundation (MJF) is a 501c(3) non-profit charitable organization. Our mission is to not only assist America’s youth in obtaining a higher rate of success while achieving their maximum potential; But to also (through our organization Kobi’s Company), strive to support charitable entities providing Animal Assisted Therapy to pediatric inpatients. Last but not least, Cuts for Character is an MJF program which instills character values, while teaching underprivileged children necessary skills for a successful future.

Michael Johnson / Co-Founder

Born May 9th 1984 in Austin Texas, Michael Johnson became involved in athletics at an early age, winning his first Football Championship with the Golden Eagles at the age of 8. In 1997 Michael moved, and attended Pflugerville High School where he became a stand out defensive back earning Defensive Player of the year as a senior. He became an All American safety at Tyler Junior College before earning a scholarship to the University of Arizona where he studied Communication and Business. After becoming a leader on the Wildcat defense and a team captain, Michael was drafted by the New York Football Giants in 2007. His Rookie he became a Super Bowl Champion, received a rookie of the year trophy, and a key to the city (NYC). After starting 45 out of 63 NFL games, Michael lost his career in his 4th season with the Giants after a spinal injury. After his Pro Football Career, Michael and his wife Erin Dixon-Johnson decided to act on their passion and founded The Michael Johnson Foundation to benefit children through annual initiatives, specified programs and scholarships.


Erin Dixon-Johnson / Co-Founder

Born September 6, in Denver Colorado, Erin found the love for sports at an early age. Through the sport of basketball, she learned the value of team work, accountability, leadership, character, persistence, hard work, and dedication. At age 13, her family moved to Pflugerville, Texas, where she soon became a stand out athlete at Pflugerville Middle and High School

In her senior year of high school, she was crowned Homecoming Queen, and received awards for Best Personality, Most Athletic and Miss. PHS. She was awarded Academic All-District 15-5A, Texas Basketball Magazine All-State, Gatorade Player of The Year, MVP 14-5A District and Austin American Statesman 1st team. In 2005, she also received AAU All-American honors and TABC and TGCA All State while leading her team to a final four in state tournament appearance at the Frank Erwin Center in Austin, Texas.

Erin earned a full basketball scholarship to the University of Texas at Arlington from 2005-2009. Erin continued to excel in basketball while serving on the university sport council. She earned the top achievement, The Texas-Arlington Student-Athlete of the Year, as well as being named to the Southland Conference Women Basketball All-Conference team. She also worked summers teaching and caring for children at the Elzie Odom Recreation Center, where knew she wanted to help children succeed in life. After graduating with her bachelors of Arts degree in Psychology, she decided to further her education and earn a second degree as well as becoming a Certified Wedding and Events Planner.

In 2012, Erin married the love of her life Michael Johnson, with whom she co-founded the Michael Johnson Foundation. They have dedicated their lives and work diligently to make a difference in children lives through The Michael Johnson Foundation.

Byron Williams / Board of Directors

Currently serving as NFLPA Dallas Chapter – President, Byron William grew up in Texarkana, Texas. He received a football scholarship to UT Arlington in 1979. He was drafted by the Green Bay Packers as a wide receiver in 1983 and joined the New York Giants later that season. He played a total of 12 seasons in the NFL, CFL and World League. His best NFL Game vs. Philadelphia Eagles – 5 catches for 167 yards and a 65 yard TD. Known for his speed 4.23 40 yard time and 10.13 – 100 meter. N.Y. Giant – career 59 catches 1,060 yards 3 TDs’ / Career Total: Over 325 Receptions over 8,000 Yards and 30 TD’s…For the past 17 year, He has been working as a sports consultant in the sports construction industry selling 400 meter running tracks and turf football fields & Private training. He is active in the communities of the Dallas Fort Worth area, where he has been hosting and directing football camps for 20 years. He is the founder of Football Minicamps www.footballminicamps.com and BW Sports, LLC www.bwresources.com . Byron has been married to his wife, Beverly, for 31 years. They have two daughters Brandy K. and Blair Kountney.
